CIDA City Campus, The first institution selected for support was CIDA City Campus in Johannesburg, South Africa, the first virtually free university in South Africa for the historically disadvantaged, which was the heartfelt inspiration for the formation of the CIDA Foundation.

The David Lynch Foundation, The David Lynch Foundation provides scholarships for students to participate in the Quiet Time Program. The Quiet Time program, by counterbalancing the crippling effects of psychosocial stress, provides a strong beneficial influence in the lives of vulnerable inner-city students.

Capricorn Primary School, Vrygrond, Cape Town, SA
Capricorn Primary School, The school is what is called a Foundation Phase Primary School which caters for 4 grades, - Grades R through 3, - it has 12 classrooms and approx 400 children between 6 and 10 years old (35 per class). It is designed in such a way that it can be extended by building on another 12 classrooms for the other 4 grades of primary school.

Nungu Sewing Project, Kruger, South Africa
Nungu Sewing Project, Nungu Sewing group runs the Nungu pre-school and the Nungu sewing. Started in 1988 by Maggie Mills from Skukuza in the Kruger National Park, women in the community started doing tailoring work to make clothes and duvets both for themselves and for the community.
