The Maharishi Institute
The Maharishi Institute was founded in 2008 to provide students with academic opportunities and skills to develop as individuals and as effective members of the South African business community. It promotes change, evolution, innovation, creativity, prosperity and growth. Using the Transcendental Meditation ™ technique, the TM Sidhi technique, yoga, and with a strong focus on personal development as well as business skills, its aim is to help students to pursue their dreams and build a better life.
If they qualify, students attending the Maharishi Institute will have the opportunity to receive further education leading to a degree through Maharishi University of Management in the US under its distance education program.
The Maharishi Institute has use of the beautiful 4 000 hectare Ezemvelo Nature Reserve one and a half hours from Johannesburg. Students from the main campus participate in adventure excursions and courses at the Reserve throughout the school year. These courses include leadership lessons in nature as part of an integrated school curriculum.
